Church and Dandelion Crowns!
Bro. and Sis. John with the kids and their dandelion crowns outside the Minsk Branch church building. |
Church in all Russian is interesting, but the kids seem to do just fine and they enjoy their primary classes! Jacque and I just follow along with the English lesson manuals on our iPads, and that seems to work out fine. I also have my trustee English-Russian dictionary on the iPad, so I can look stuff up they write on the board and such. Good fun!
After church today, Amber and Lia ran up to us with dandelion crowns on (the junior primary class made them; there is not a shortage of dandelions here). Sara was a little sad that she didn't have one (she is in the senior primary class), so the primary teacher took the kids out in the little grassy area outside the church building and made one for Sara before we left. Sara was so excited, mostly because the teacher taught her how to make the crown! So I am sure our girls will be making dandelion crowns a lot from now on each time we go to the park!
Now we are back at the apartment enjoying a quiet afternoon, with dinner and family/friend Skype sessions this evening! A good day!
I would like a dandelion crown! Tell Sara she will need to teach me when she's back.
